One thing I need to be crystal clear about: This is a private tour – while you will sign up with me, all the logistics will be handled by an agency who will invoice you directly. This is NOT a trip arranged by a professional tour operator, and it will not provide you with all the amenities of an all-inclusive trip.

• If you join the tour, you commit yourself to raise funds for Room to Read. Our goal is to provide enough funding to offer 10 girls a 10-year scholarship, which means raising 25.000€ in total. Anything raised above and beyond that will go towards a primary school in Laos that Cam-Mai and Thomas Brasch are supporting.
• You should be fit and in good health to participate in this trek – 5-6 hours of walking per day - and will need to bring your own equipment (alpine boots, sleeping bag, etc.).
• Weather conditions should be good at this time of the year: during the daytime, the temperature range is 10°C to 25°C ; nights are much colder, especially at altitude.
• We will have an English- and French-speaking guide, a cook to prepare our meals and a team with donkeys to handle the tents and baggage. You will need to carry you day pack only.
• We will get 3 meals per day while hiking; most meals will be vegetarian.
• We will be camping throughout, sharing two-man tents; you will need to bring your own camping mat and sleeping bag. And be aware that you won’t have a private bathroom and shower.
• Travel costs per person depend on the final size of our group – if we are a team of 6, you should expect to pay 400€/Person (incl. airport transfer, 1 night in Marrakech (sharing double room) at the beginning and the end of the trip, and 5 days of hiking). You will need to take care of travel arrangements to and from Marrakech yourself. Also not included are tips for the local guide and his team, food in Marrakech and any other personal expenses.
